Mereside Village Hall Dogs on Leads Trial
From 1st August 2025 for a period of up to six months a trial will take place allowing for the walking of dogs on leads around the perimeter of the grounds / playing fields of Ramsey Mereside Village Hall.
Dogs will be permitted to access the areas highlighted in bright green, as shown on the adjoining map, whilst accompanied by their owner / walker and on a lead of up to 2 metres in length for the purposes of walking / exercising.
The area highlighted for dog walking is a shared space and available for use by all. Dogs should remain under the control of their owners / walkers at all times and not impede the enjoyment of the facilities by other users.
The grounds are maintained by a small group of volunteers and your assistance in keeping all areas clean and tidy will be very much appreciated.
The trial will be monitored and reviewed at monthly meetings of the trustees and amendments to the trial may be made as deemed necessary.
Constructive feedback is welcome and we would ask that this be in writing, including your contact details so that we can get in touch and discuss your comments, and left in the village halls main letter box or suggestions box, which is situated in the entrance hall.
Updates on this trial will be published in the Meresider and displayed on the village halls notice board
MEREFEST JULY 2025
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our first ever Merefest. The afternoon was a huge success and we have received lots of positive feedback. A big thank you to Natalie and Nicky for organising the event and all the volunteers who helped in so many ways.
